Nîmes Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Centre
A digital resource centre to raise public awareness of Nîmes' architectural heritage
As part of the City of Art and History agreement, the City of Nîmes aimed to introduce France's first Dematerialized Interpretation Center for Architecture and Heritage. This centre aims to promote Nîmes' heritage and architectural, urban, and landscape richness to the widest possible audience. As a true digital space, the website was designed to cater reflexively to all audiences, whether Nîmes residents, tourists, students, researchers, or educators, providing a comprehensive resource hub for architecture and heritage experts.
A modern and interactive digital space to promote Nîmes' heritage
The Inconito agency has designed a modern website for the general public, offering recommended tours of Nîmes' heritage based on individual interests, and focusing on specific themes relating to the city's heritage, architecture and key periods.
In order to give a visual representation of the city's historical development, Inconito has designed an interactive map enabling visitors to discover Nîmes through the progressive superimposition of urban 'layers' specific to each of the 5 key periods in its history, using points of interest.
